How do I log into my email account?
- Go to http://www.charter.net
- Click on Check E-mail
- Enter your full Charter e-mail address in the provided field.
(ex: joe@charter.net)
- Enter your Password. Passwords are case sensitive.
- Enter your Service Address Zip Code
- Click Login or press Enter.
Note: If you are having an issue logging into Charter e-mail and your password does not include capital letters, check to make sure the Caps Lock key is not being used.

How can I change my Charter.net password online?
To change your charter.net password, you must have Charter "My Account" access.
- If you have a "My Account" login; Go to http://www.charter.com/myaccount
- Enter Login in the provided field.
- Enter your Password. (Passwords are case sensitive. Your "My Account" password may be different than your charter.net password.)
- Enter your Service Address Zip Code
- Click Submit or press Enter.
- Click on the “forgot username” or “forgot password” link and follow the instructions for retrieving this information.
- After you have successfully accessed "My Account", select the Internet Services & Tools tab
- Under Manage Email Accounts, find a list of the email addresses associated with your account. For the appropriate email address find and click the link, Edit Email
- The page will refresh and there will be fields to enter the new password and to confirm. Click the Save Changes button to continue.
- Click Save to update your changes.
- If you do not have a My Account login, at the top, in the center of the www.charter.com page, click on “Create Account."
Enter your Security Code and 19-digit Charter account number, found on the top right-hand corner of your Charter statement. Once the fields are filled in, click the Create Account button.
- Enter your 19 digit Charter account number, found on the top right-hand corner of your Charter statement, and fill in the required fields..
- Click the Register button, and you are ready to access the “My Account” menu.
Please note that you will need the phone number and zip code you provided in the order process to complete your online registration.

How do I read my Charter.net email?
Once logged in, you will be on the Mail tab, where you can Compose new mail messages and check for incoming e-mail. The mail tab is the equivalent of the old “Inbox”, with some new features added for better usability.
Clicking a hyperlink under the Subject column will still open an e-mail. Once a message is open, you have options to:
Use the Reply, Reply All, Forward, Delete, or Move To features to act on messages.
Use the Report as Spam feature to send Charter feedback of unwanted spam and delete the e-mail
View the previous email in the Inbox by clicking Prev
View the next e-mail in the Inbox by clicking Next
Add e-mail addresses to your Address book or Block a Sender
Download an attachment to save to your computer.

How do I delete e-mail from my Charter.net account?
To delete a message or messages from the Inbox, check the box next to the message(s) and click the Delete button (this will send the e-mail to the Trash folder).

How do I report Spam?
The Report as Spam feature did not exist in the old Charter e-mail. It is now at the top of the mail screen. To report e-mail(s) as spam,
- Click the box next to the e-mail(s) and then click Report as Spam.
- You will be asked to confirm sending the e-mail(s) as spam to Charter and deleting the e-mail(s).

Where is my address book on my Charter.net account?
Your address book is located in the Addresses tab at the top of the screen. This allows you to:
View existing entries
Sort by alphabetical groups
Create a new contact
Create a new group
Import existing address books from other e-mail clients
Export the existing address book
Search for an address entry

How do I compose a message in my Charter.net email account?
To write an e-mail, click Compose at the top of the screen on the Mail tab. When finished composing the e-mail, click the Send button at the top or the bottom of the page.
