Removing Specified DNS on a MAC

Macintosh 10.3 and forward

  1. Click the Apple and select System Preferences.

  2. Under the Internet & Network section, click on the Network icon.

  3. In the left side menu, select Built-in Ethernet. On this screen, the DNS Server information is changeable.

  4. You can click Advanced to see the next screen. This will show all DNS Servers store in the Mac, and allow the user to remove them. This is normally not required.

  1. Click the Apple icon and select System Preferences.

  2. Under the Internet & Network section, click the Network icon.

  3. In the Show drop-down menu, select Built in Ethernet. In the lower Configure window, select Using DHCP. If there are any numbers listed in the DNS server box, highlight them and press the Delete key on your keyboard. Click Apply Now to save the changes.

  4. Restart your computer.
